First Presbyterian Church offers new Bible study

by Atmore News Staff
January 27th, 2010

You’re invited to participate in a Bible study at First Presbyterian Church, Atmore, beginning in February.

The study is the John Franklin and Chuck Lawless, Spiritual Warfare, Bible Truth for Victory, to be held at First Presbyterian Church beginning Wednesday, Feb. 17.

There will be two sessions offered:

* Wednesday morning at 10 a.m. Childcare will be provided for the morning sessions only.

* Wednesday afternoon at 3:30 p.m.

This study features an introductory session and nine weekly small-group sessions.  Participants will meet weekly to discuss the assignments and view video lectures.   The authors, Franklin and Lawless, give solid biblical answers to many questions about spiritual warfare. This study presents ways to know if you are in spiritual warfare, reasons warfare may persist, and actions to take during warfare.

“The goal throughout this study has been to approach spiritual warfare from a biblical perspective,” Franklin said. “Biblical truth leads to victory. Victory does not always mean the end of spiritual warfare. It may be faithful endurance.”

Lawless added, “We hope readers will come away with a richer personal relationship with God as a result of this study. We believe you will find your confidence in God will grow.”
