AFD to conduct business visits

The Atmore Fire Department will conduct business pre-planning visits next week.

Assistant Fire Chief Mike Staples said the department is doing this to keep their records current as to the names of key holders and changes to buildings.

“Having this information helps us when we respond to a call,” Staples said. “Sometimes a business will change hands and we may still have the previous owner’s information on file. That slows us down when we need the key holder’s phone number.”

The visits to businesses begin Monday, January 25.
