Johnson honored

Mayor Howard Shell, left, presents Murray Johnson with a plaque from parents honoring him for his 40 years of service to the youth baseball leagues in Atmore.

“He’s served year after year,” Shell said. “He’s done it out of genuine concern for our youth.”

The parents and players presented Johnson with the plaque, a bronze baseball glove and ball and had a “big” cake for the occasion.
