EA loses to rival Monroe on the road

Escambia Academy traveled to Monroe Thursday with the Cougars losing to the Volunteers in their first game of the Monroe Tournament. The game started with Monroe failing to score, but Jon Dean doubled to get things going for the Cougar offense. The Cougars put the first points on the board when James Dean brought his brother home. After taking an early lead, the Cougar offense struggled while the MA offense found pay dirt. The Volunteers put up 11 points to win by the 10 run rule, 11-1.
