Among those arrested in the sting was an Atmore pastor, Michael Steven Ward of Molino. Ward was arrested for procuring for prostitution and was released on January 3 on $500 bond. He is scheduled to appear in court Friday, January 24, to answer charges.

According to arrest reports, Ward contacted an undercover officer January 3 and arranged to meet with her at 451 Creighton Road in Pensacola for the purpose of purchasing her services for prostitution. After meeting with the female officer and arriving at a price for certain acts, Ward was arrested and placed in custody. He was charged with procurement in the second degree, a misdemeanor.

Ward had been pastor at Atmore Apostolic Church on Highway 31 for the last few years, but according to sources with the church has been dismissed from leadership at the church since his arrest.
