Calvin “Pedo” Taylor
Mr. Calvin “Pedo” Taylor, age 51, passed away Tuesday, October 30, 2012 in Portland, Ore. He was a native of Atmore, Ala. and a resident of Portland for the past twenty years.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jake Calvin Taylor.

Mr. Taylor is survived by his mother, Shirley Henley Taylor of Atmore; one brother, David Taylor of Flomaton, Ala.; three sisters, Shelby Caraway of Walnut Hill, Fla., Cindy Scruggs of Flomaton and Myrtle Kulhman of Kerrville, Texas; nine nieces and four nephews.

Funeral services were held Thursday, November 8, 2012 at 10 a.m. at Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. John Coleman officiating.

The family received friends Thursday, November 8, 2012 from 9 a.m. until funeral time at 10 a.m. at Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home.

Lenora Stallworth Sellers
Mrs. Lenora Stallworth Sellers age 88, of Atmore, Ala., passed away Monday, November 5, 2012. She was born in Enon, Fla. to Jackson Burton Stallworth and Mary Elma Stallworth. She was employed at Greenlawn Hospital for many years serving as the insurance clerk. She later worked at Production Credit Association, United Bank and Atmore Nursing Care Center until her retirement.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jackson Burton Stallworth and Mary Elma Stallworth: brother, Burton Lee Stallworth: husbands, Emmette Ray Sellers and Leonard Earl Sellers: and son Harry Burton (Buck) Sellers.

Mrs. Sellers is survived by her daughter Rebecca S. (Joe) Phillips of Atmore; daughter-in-law, Joyce P. Sellers of Atmore; four grandchildren, Vicki Sellers (J.B.) Gulsby, Jonathon A Phillips, Leonard Ray (Leslie) Sellers and Jarard Burton (Ashley) Phillips and six great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Friday, November 9, 2012 at 11 a.m. from Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jimmy Dukes officiating. Interment followed in Oak Hill Cemetery.

Active pallbearers were Rodney Helton, Fred Peevy, Mike Helton, Tommy Strawbridge, James Bell and Webb Nall.

Honorary pallbearers were Luther West, Bill Phillips, Joe Brown, Joe Webb, Archie Sellers, Alvis Respress, James Norris, Burton Beck, Freddie Hobbs and Clifton Mims.

The family received friends Friday, November 9, 2012 one hour prior to service time at Johnson-Quimby Funeral

 Carl Bullard
Mr. Carl Bullard, age 61, of Atmore, Ala., passed away Wednesday, November 7, 2012 at West Florida Hospital in Pensacola, Fla.

He was preceded in death by one son, Dewight McCaskter; one sister, Rosie Mitchell.

Mr. Bullard is survived by two daughters, Shaquania Ann Kyles and Onieka Parker, both of Atmore; three sons, Carl Davison, Jr. of Troy, Ala. Lonnie Davison of Japan and Michael Bullard of Charlotte, N.C.; five sisters, Clara Young of Atmore, Mary Dailey, Minnie Evans, Emily Montgomery and Helen Cooks; four brothers, Lee Bullard, Eddie Bullard, John Bullard, James Bullard; seven grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Funeral service were held Tuesday, November 13, 2012 at 1 p.m. at Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church with Dr. Monroe Tucker, Jr., Pastor and Rev. Donzell Young, officiating. Interment followed in Fairview Cemetery.

Fonzie Hall
Mr. Fonzie Hall, age 68, passed away Thursday, November 8, 2012 in Canoe, Ala. He was a native of Lottie, Ala. and a resident of Canoe for the past fifteen years.

Mr. Hall is survived by his wife, Linda Karen Hall of Canoe; six sons, Chris Adams of Merdianville, Ala., Tommy Smith and Jason Countryman, all of Poarch, Ala., Mycheal Smith of Perdido, Ala., Albert Countryman of Walnut Hill, Fla., Adam Countryman of Canoe; two daughters, Jessica Hall of Poarch and Jenni Hall of Canoe; two brothers, Willie Frank Hall of McCullough, Ala. and Jack Hall of Atmore, Ala.; twenty-six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, November 13, 2012 at 2 p.m. at Friendly Holiness Church with the Rev. Brandon Rowell officiating. Burial followed at McCullough Cemetery.

The family received friends Monday, November 12, 2012 from 5 p.m. until service time Tuesday, November 13, 2012 at Friendly Holiness Church.

Pallbearers were Tommy Smith, Mycheal Smith, Travis Hall, Jack Hall, Willie Frank Hall and Ronald Peebles.

Honorary pallbearers were C.J. Adams, Jason Countryman, Adam Countryman, Albert Countryman and Roger Scott.

Thelma Faye Barron Brown
Ms. Thelma Faye Franklin Barron Brown, age 93, of Cantonment, Fla., passed away Thursday, November 8, 2012 in Pensacola, Fla. She was a homemaker. She was born in Atmore, Ala. to the late Alanzo and Mary Jackson McGhee Franklin.

Ms. Brown is survived by one son, Claude Barron, Jr. of Pensacola; one daughter, Margaret (Darel) Holland of Cantonment; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

Graveside services were held Saturday, November 10, 2012 at 2 p.m. in Pine Barren Cemetery.

The family received friends Saturday, November 10, 2012 from 1 to 1:45 p.m. at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home.

Sharon McGhee Peebles
Mrs. Sharon McGhee Peebles, age 58, passed away Saturday, November 10, 2012 in Atmore, Ala. She was a native of Atmore and resided in Atmore for most of her life. She attended Friendly Holiness Church. She was a member of the Poarch Creek Indians; a foster mother and grandmother to many children affectionately known as Grannie Sharon.

Mrs. Peebles is survived by her husband, Lester C. Peebles of Atmore; two sons, Lawrence (Chastity) Peebles of Poarch, Ala. and Anthony Gaines (Bridgett) Peebles of Canoe, Ala.; one brother, Tony Walker of Atmore; four sisters, Darlene (Sam) Hitchcock of Bratt, Fla., JoAnn Nellums of Perdido, Ala., Donna Sue (Rudy) Marquette of Apachy Junction, Ariz. and Carol Jean Mercer of Pensacola, Fla.; seven grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 14, 2012 at 2 p.m. at Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. William Rolin officiating. Burial will follow at Judson/Creek Indian Cemetery.

The family received friends Tuesday, November 13, 2012 from 6 to 9 p.m. at Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home.

Charles Carlos Ladner
Mr. Charles Carlos Ladner, age 74, passed away Sunday, Wednesday, October 24, 2012 in Century, Fla. He was a native of Bayville, La. and resident of Century for the past fifty years. He was an avid fisherman, shrimper, hunter, professional carpenter.

He was preceded in death by a son, Charles Carlos Ladner, Jr.; two brothers, Floyd Ladner and Shirley Ladner and one sister, Elaine Cruise.

Mr. Ladner is survived by his wife of fifty years, Dottie Mae Ladner of Century; two daughters, Cherryl (Oliver) Dykes of Century and Tina Ladner Bankston (Joe Smith) of Flomaton, Ala.; three brothers, Lavoy Ladner of Gulfport, Miss., Junior Ladner and Larry Ladner, both of Sauier, Miss.; two sisters, Nancy Ladner of Jacksonville, Fla. and Sara Lee of Miss.; four grandchildren, John Ladner, April Watson, Misty Lambeth and Lindsey Bagwell; thirteen great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, November 18, 2012 at 2 p.m. at Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with his daughter, Cherryl Dykes officiating. Burial will follow at the McCurdy Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Saturday, November 17, 2012 from 6 to 9 p.m. at Petty Eastside Chapel Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Frank Gresham, Leon Smith, Rodney Morgan, Jason Lambeth, Charlie Britt and Jeffrey Britt.

Rafe Terrylee Johnson
Mr. Rage Terrylee Johnson, age 54, passed away Tuesday, October 30, 2012. He was born to the late Cassie Johnson Sr. and Eunice V. Johnson.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Glenda Colette Johnson and one brother, Vince A. Johnson.

Mr. Johnson is survived by one son, Terrence Jones; a step-son, Dwayne Jones and their mother, Claretha Jones; brothers, Cleveland James (Joyce) Lamar, Cassie Lee Johnson, Jr., Adrian Johnson, Shen (Kimberly) Johnson, all of Atmore, Ala., George Johnson and Harold Johnson, both of Albany, N.Y.; sisters, Olga Paige of Atmore, Linda Johnson, Nannette (Rick) McGhee, Bridgette McClaney and Tenecha (Allen) Johnson, all of Montgomery, Ala., and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.

Memorial services were held Saturday, November 10, 2012 at 10 a.m. at Christian Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Monroe Tucker, officiating.

William C. “Slim” Hazley
Mr. William C. “Slim” Hazley, age 62, passed away Monday, November 5, 2012. He was born in Atmore, Ala., to Sylvia Hazley Williams and the late Johnny James Bargnar. He was employed by Hattiesburg Water Department for thirty-five years.

He was preceded in death by his father, Johnny James Bargnar, step-father, ALC Williams, Sr.; brother, Christopher Williams; grandmother, Nannie Bell Gandy and grandfather, Henry Hazley.

Mr. Hazley is survived by his mother, Sylvia Hazley Williams; daughter, Forastine (Bruce) Nettles of Gulfport, Miss.; six step-children, Amber Walker, Lewis (Tanisha) Walker, both of Fla., Jarvis Standifer, Alice Standifer, Darius Keith and Ishaundra Perkins, all of Miss.; three sisters, Deloise (Alfred) Johnson, Meacheal Hazley, both of Atmore and Gwen (Leon) Hull of Fla.; seven brothers, Earnest Hazley, Albert (Elizabeth) Hazley and ALC Williams, Jr., all of Atmore, Mickeal Hazley of Cleveland, Ohio, Gary (Jean) Hazley of Monroeville, Ala., and Wendell (Rose) Bargnar and Johnny James Bargnar, Jr., both of Fla.; two grandchildren, Diamonique Davis of Miss. and Samorion Clark of Fla.; companion, Holly Keith and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral services were held Saturday, November 10, 2012 at 1 p.m. at True Gospel Church of God with Rev. Albert Hazley, Sr., officiating. Interment followed at Mt. Shiloh Cemetery.

Pallbearers were his brothers.

Flower bearers were family and friends.
