Vivian Amanda Lewis
Ms. Vivian Amanda Lewis, age 45, passed away Wednesday, September 19, 2012. She was born to John A. Lewis, Jr. and Bernice Coleman Lewis in Brewton, Ala. She attended Brewton Elementary, Brewton Middle School and was a 1985 graduate of T. R. Miller High School.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, John A. Lewis, Sr.; maternal grandparents, Will and Alberta Coleman; uncles, Dave Coleman, Paul Coleman, Jimmy Riley and Ellie Lee Stall worth; aunt, Daisy Mae Riley.

Ms. Lewis is survived by her parents; grandmother, Magnolia Lewis and daughter, Michele A. Lewis; brothers, Anthony (April) Lewis, Jessie Ray Jackson, Maurice (Amy) Lewis; sisters, Vicky Johnson Lee and Tamaria “Wendy” Smith; uncles, Walter (Missy) Coleman and Kenneth Lewis; great aunt, Mary Francis Stallworth; aunts, Helen Coleman, Barton and Loretta L. Thomas, Linda (Winfred) Shipman, Willemina Lewis, Sandra (Hileary) Culliver and Barbara Curry; cousins, Arlene Lewis and Brenda (Bernard) Thomas; special grands, Tarajiah McNeal and Kameron Camplell and a host of other family and friends.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, September 25, 2012 at 11 a.m. at Second Saint Siloam Baptist Church with Rev. Walter Coleman, officiating. Interment followed at Oak Grove e Cemetery, Brewton, Ala.

Pallbearers were Robert P. Curry, Quentin Curry, Deviatrick Rankin, Montez Shipman, Windred Shipman, Jr., Alphus Shipman, Montrell Banks, Brian Stallworth.

Musician was Marquese Banks.

Marion “Bud” Albritton
Mr. Marion “Bud” Albritton, age 88, passed away Monday, September 24, 2012 in Pensacola, Fla. He was a native of Nokomis, Fla. and a former resident of Bratt and Nokomis, Fla. and has resided in Atmore, Ala. since 2000. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Atmore Branch. He was retired from Federal Civil Service after eighteen years; retired from Escambia County Florida Road Department where he worked as a fuel truck driver.

Mr. Albritton is survived by his five sons, Ronnie and Linda Albritton and Lloyd and Gwen Albritton, all of Atmore, Phillip Albritton of Atlanta, Ga., Greg and Deborah Albritton of Range, Ala. and Avis and Nelia Albritton of the Philippines; one daughter, Susan Denman of Atmore; three sisters, Jean McGhee of Poarch, Ala., Edna Raines of Pensacola and Yvonne Kirkley of Deland, Fla.; twenty-five grandchildren and fifty great- grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Friday, September 28, 2012 at 3 p.m. at Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with the Bro. Bill Beach, Bro. Lloyd Albritton, Bro. Greg Albritton and Bro. Gary Godwin officiating. Burial followed at Antioch Cemetery.

The family received friends Thursday, September 27, 2012 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home.

Pallbearers were the grandsons, Preston Albritton, Steven Albrittion, Randy Albritton, Mark Harrell, Preston Routh and Steven Reynolds.

Honorary pallbearers were the VFW and Aaronic Priesthood of Atmore Branch, Jordon Coon, Sammy Ellestad, Donny Ellestad, Brent Akins, Dylan Jones, Kyle Jones and Austin Kyzer.

Joseph Wayne Odom
Mr. Joseph Wayne Odom, age 55, passed away Wednesday, September 26, 2012 in Flomaton, Ala. He was a native of Bay Minette, Ala. and a resident of Perdido, Ala. for the past five years. He drove race cars and motorcycles.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Jerry Miah and Mary Isabell Odom; maternal grandparents, Joe and Evie Coleman; two brothers-in-law, Ben Johnson and Paul Hutto; one nephew and two great-nieces.

Mr. Odom is survived by his father and mother, Jim and Jeanette Odom of Bay Minette; wife, Ruby Wilson of Perdido; one son, Jimmy Joe (Tiffany) Odom of Atmore, Ala.; two step-sons, Daniel (Elaine) Sheets of Poarch, Ala. and Jesse Wilson of Perdido; one daughter, Katrina (Rickey) Anthony of Brewton, Ala.; one step-daughter, Gwen Wilson of Perdido; eight brothers, Jackey (Shelia) Odom of Nokomis, Ala., Johnny (Sandra) Odom of Stapleton, Ala., Donald (Charlene) Odom of Barnett Crossroad, Ala., Arthur (Susan) Odom and Claude (Becky) Odom, all of Atmore, Jerry (Tangie) Odom of Eclectic, Ala., Eddie (Faye) Odom of Perdido and Tommy (Voncile) Odom of Brewton; six sisters, Gayle Johnson of Poarch, Carolyn (Gary) Posey and Isabell Odom, all of Flomaton, Ala., Joyce (Debbie Fisher) Odom of Del Rio, Texas, Jenny Hutto of Bay Minette and Linda Fink of Gulf Shores, Ala.; nine grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Saturday, September 29, 2012 at 10 a.m. at Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Richard Daniel and Rev. Tony Richburg officiating. Burial followed at the Pineview Cemetery.

The family received friends Friday, September 28, 2012 from 6 until 9 p.m. at Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home.

Pallbearers were Chad Odom, Jeremy Odom, Joseph Odom, James Johnson, Jesse Wilson and Thomas Posey.

Honorary pallbearers were Stanley Stewart, Ronnie Rolin, Matthew Ray, Johnny Colbert, Tyler Boatwright, Joshua Odom, Andrew Odom, Christopher Odom and John Victor.

Hazel Nye
Rev. Hazel Nye, age 80, of Stockton, Ala., passed away Sunday, September 30, 2012 at North Baldwin Infirmary, Bay Minette. Ala.

Funeral services are incomplete at this time but will be announced by Turner Funeral Chapel, LLC.

Frances Dailey
Ms. Frances Dailey, age 70, of Atmore, Ala., passed away Monday, October 1, 2012 at Atmore Community Hospital.

Funeral services are incomplete at this time but will be announced by Turner Funeral Chapel, LLC.

Addie Belle Copeland
Mrs. Addie Belle Copeland, age 89, of Atmore, Ala., passed away Sunday, September 30, 2012. She taught school for thirty eight years with the last twenty-five of those being at Davis Elementary School. She retired in 1980. She was an active member of First Baptist Church of Atmore and served tirelessly teaching Sunday school, Training Union, and vacation Bible school and initiated the Bible Drill Program there.

She was preceded in death by her husband of fifty years, Eddie Carl Copeland.

Mrs. Copeland is survived by her daughter, Sheila Copeland of Montgomery, Ala.; her son and daughter-in-law, Darrell and Anita Copeland of Cary, N.C.; two grandchildren, Jared (Ali) Copeland of Austin, Texas and Laura Copeland (Terry) Pollard of Tulsa, Okla.; three great-grandchildren, Jack and Chuck Copeland and May Pollard.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, October 2, 2012 at 10 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Atmore with Rev. Arnold Hendrix officiating. Interment and graveside followed in the afternoon at 3 p.m. in Longing Baptist Church Cemetery at Philadelphia, Miss.

The family received friends Tuesday, October 2, 2012 at 9 a.m. until service time at First Baptist Church.

Honorary pallbearers were members of the Dr. John Smith Sunday School Class.

Gary Lee Moye
Mr. Gary Lee Moye, age 49, of Flomaton, Ala., passed away Thursday, September 13, 2012 at West Florida Hospital in Pensacola. He was born to Ezell and Thelma Moye.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Mr. Moye is survived by numerous relatives and friends.

Graveside services were held at Lambeth Cemetery, Flomaton, with the Rev. Rodger Parker officiating.

Virgie Lee Watson
Mrs. Virgie Lee Watson, age 71, passed away Friday, September 21, 2012. She was born to the late George and Matty Gandy. She was a graduate of Douglasville High School. She was loyal to Union Missionary Baptist Church for many years. In her later years she was a devoted Deaconess and member of Faith Community Full Gospel Church.

Mrs. Watson is survived by three children, Francine Watson-Naves (late Jerry) of Alexandria, Va., Michael (Tracy) Watson and Bonita Faye (George, Jr.) York, all of Bay Minette, Ala.; sister, Mattie Dawson of Monticello, N.Y. and brother, Rev. Andrew (Octavia) Gandy of Richmond, Va.; three grandchildren, Phyias, Scott and Joseph of Temper Hill, Md., Demetrius (Latisha) Stevens, of Destin, Fla. and Myquera Watson of Birmingham Ala.

Funeral services were held Saturday, September 29, 2012 at 11 a.m. at New Jerusalem Holiness Church with Pastor Norman Washington, Sr., officiating. Interment followed at Mutual Aid Cemetery, Bay Minette.

Pallbearers were Alfred Charles Watson, Carol Watson, Thomas Gandy, Larry Gandy and Thomas Hood.

Flower bearers were family and friends.
