Gospel Light Church will host the John Glick Family in concert Saturday night. The Glick Family is no stranger to Gospel Light Church – they’ve been here before and always receive a warm welcome.
John and Lanette Glick of Massillon, Ohio, will present a live music program of Southern gospel and country-style music.
The group consists of the parents, nine children, two daughters-in-law, and two grandchildren.
Highlights of the program include children’s songs and sometimes Bible story dramas.
Members of the Glick Family sing four-part harmony and play guitar, violin, piano, mandolin, flute, bass guitar, pedal steel guitar, dobro, and banjo.
They have released four family CDs which will be available by freewill donation following the concert.
Their ministry includes prison services, church programs, banquets, and nursing homes. They travel across the U.S., Mexico, and Canada. They also present family seminars by request.
The Glick Family will be at Gospel Light Church Saturday, Jan. 28, 7 p.m. Admission is free. The Rev. Martin Gehman and the congregation invite everyone to attend this non-denominational concert event.
The church is located at the corner of Howard and Trammell streets. For more information, call 368-3353.
Please note: The Glick Family Singers rely on the generosity of the folks they minister to in order the continue their work. Many people who benefit from their ministry are not able to help them financially, such as prison inmates and nursing home residents.
As everyone knows, fuel and food are expensive. Rev. Gehman asks that you please be generous with your giving at this concert. Help support them by taking home their CDs. Also, he asks that you please consider contributing to a “pounding” for the family. Bring non-perishable food items for the family to take with them.
