A routine traffic stop Sunday evening netted a crack cocaine bust for the Atmore Police Department and the Drug Task Force.

Office Dale Lisenby was attempting to pull over a car that  had no tail lights. The driver of the car turned into the Patterson Street projects and fled on foot. Lisenby pursued on foot and saw the suspect throw something down. The officer apprehended the suspect and recovered the drugs the man had tried to get rid of.

Officers arrested Robert Foreman and charged him with unlawful possession of a controlled substance.

Lisenby had recovered several rocks of crack cocaine with a street value of about $350.

Foreman’s car was searched and confiscated.

Foreman was transported to the county jail.
